Editorial: dusIP Launch Day!
An Article by Prof. Dr. Jan Busche
April 26, 2021 is World IP Day – and it is launch day for dusIP: the new IP blog of the Center for Intellectual Property Law at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. The blog aims to provide a forum for the IP community and thus for all those interested in sharing ideas and views on current Intellectual Property issues. We invite you to participate in the blog and look forward to your contributions and comments.
In addition to an LL.M. program in IP law, the Center for Intellectual Property Law at HHU Düsseldorf with its directors Prof. Dr. Jan Busche, Chief Judge at the Federal Supreme Court (BGH) Prof. Dr. Peter Meier-Beck and Prof. Dr. Ulrich Noack have established two event series with the „Werkstattgespräche“ and the annual Düsseldorf Patent conference (Düsseldorfer Patentrechtstage) at the IP hub of Düsseldorf, born from the idea of stimulating the exchange between academia and practitioners. With dusIP, the new IP blog, we now want to take this cause into the digital space. To that end, this year’s World IP Day offers a welcome impetus.
The dusIP team wishes you a thought-provoking read and is always grateful for positive or critical feedback. Feel free to reach out to us at dusip@hhu.de, also with suggestions for your own blog post!
Prof. Dr. Jan Busche is a University Professor and Holder of the Chair of Civil Law and Intellectual Property Law at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, Germany, as well as Editor-in-Chief at dusIP.
